Protection of environment

Environmental protection refers to any activity to maintain or restore the quality of the environment through preventing the emission of pollutants or reducing the presence of polluting substances. This could entail for example changing the characteristics of goods and services, enhancing recycling or preventing the degradation of the landscape and ecosystems. Multiple initiatives, including both regulation and policy, in order to protect the environment exist both on a EU level and domestic level. The importance of this protection has only acquired more attention keeping in mind its impact on a global level.
